Free internet in Vienna

The last few days in Vienna were very busy. So busy that I didn’t even manage to get a post in there. But I did keep up with my feeds and emails, thanks to numerous free WiFi spots in cafes around the city. My friend Andi sent me this link before I left, which proved to be useful.  Here are my personal favourite spots from this list:1. Museumsquartier: an all-time-favourite, and my “office” during the last two short trips to Vienna.  2. Cuadro: handy Kaffeehaus, because it’s a two-minute-walk from my sister’s flat, where I resided. 3. Cafe Europa: an old hang-out of mine, where I stumbled over free WiFi, which was great because I could test the webbrowser and YouTube functions on my spanking new iPod touch while waiting for my next appointment. Somewhat disappointing from the link-list was Cafe Nelsons, where Andi and I couldn’t get free internet even though it was listed on the otherwise fabulous link collection. Not to worry for next time though: I will get myself one of those mobile modems in Vienna, which (according to my buddies) are fantabulous in terms of speed and data volume (15 GB a month, up to 7.2 Kbps), and they are cheap as chips (from €24.00 a month!!!). That way I will be able to post whenever I want!
