If you are a Twitterer, you will know that the service is not very stable. It is alright most of the time, but for some bizarre reason it is ALWAYS down when I really feel like sharing something, or when I need to send a direct message to someone.
It has been suggested many times that Twitter is a useful tool for crisis communication, and indeed – during many natural disasters like Tsunamis and earthquakes Twitter works quite well. However, if the service is that unstable, it is still not recommendable if you are stuck in a seriously dire situation. Or if you have something to communicate that actually needs to reach someone for sure. For all other things, it is really useful – I am quite getting into it.
If you want to know what I am up to at any given point in time (provided Twitter lets me twitter it), just follow me.
