It´s almost impossible to meet everybodies expectations - the different levels of knowledge around that topic alone makes that a very difficult task.

While the things you talked about on Monday have not been new to me i very much enjoyed your talk, even if i knew the hard facts i had fun listening to your style of presentation.

And to be honest, this talk aimed for people who work in the Austrian film industry, not to social media experts - so i think you did just fine with your choice of topics.

So, i´m looking forward to your future lectures...

Just wondering if you could help me Iris, I wanted to use an example of the need to participate in online conversations about your brand. You had a couple of stellar examples of companies taking too much time to respond and the ensuing brand damage; one was a bicycle company example from memory. Are you able to point me in the direction of a couple of good examples?

Very handy to put aside things you want to read when you have time as well. Its like building a scrapbook. Then you can go snooping round other people's and find out what really interests them. Uncover the truth...well maybe not, but people do save some weird stuff.

Sadly it is becoming more and more a mass spamming and marketing tool - as MySpace did. Though this is hardly surprising, but I'm deeply sick of having just crap in my inbox. There is a little of the social of the social network. It's nearly as bad as having old high-school friends track you down - yes, that is right. I have no interest in the finer details of your current social life. The most interesting, and as a journalist one of the more handier aspects, is the way record labels, movie and theatre makers etc are using the site for promotion and what not.
