I have been wanting to share this for a while, and I am working on organising an evening with my best buddies to watch these 3 back to back, probably in this order:

1. Bachelor Party, with Tom Hanks. A classic. Tom Hanks in one of my favourite films, celebrating one last night before getting hitched. It has it all: hookers, a trashed hotel room, and a donkey on speed in said hotel room. Also, some very creative cooking from Tom Hanks involving a bunsenburner and lots of paprika.

2. Better off dead, with John Cusack: absolutely brilliant, starring a young John Cusack as a suicidal, love-sick competitive skier. “Merci buckets” has made it into my everyday vocabulary, and apparently “I want my two dollars!” has become a widely used phrase in the States. Isn’t pop culture great!?!

3. Vampire’s Kiss, with Nicholas Cage. Probably the funniest thing he has ever been in: Mr. Cage is a sick yuppie who becomes convinced that he has been turned into a vampire. “There you are!!!!!” and “Am I getting through to you!??!”, along with the insane gestures Mr. Cage performs (Bela Lugosi style…) also bear great significance, especially to Caitlin, Matthew and me.

Have you seen them? Do you love these movies as much as I do? What would you add to this list to make it a Top 5? And what is your ranking? Share your thoughts!
